About the foundation

In 2026, Charles Henry Amissah, a vibrant 29-year-old, tragically lost his life after a road traffic accident in Accra. Despite efforts to save him, delays in accessing timely emergency care cost him the chance to survive.

Charles’ story reflects a harsh reality in Ghana—many lives are lost not because they cannot be saved, but because help does not come quickly enough. Barriers in emergency response, delays in care, and limited access to critical services continue to cost families their loved ones.

In response, the Charles Amissah Emergency Care Foundation was established to turn this loss into action. We are committed to strengthening emergency care systems through advocacy, training, and partnerships—ensuring that no life is lost due to delays in care.Every second counts.
